Summer Activities at St. Andrew's
  Musical Theater Camps

Our first camp is for teens entering grades 6–12 and is called “Peter.” Camp will run July 14–18  and will culminate in a performance on Friday, July 18th at 7:00 PM. This is a workshop production of an original musical written by our very own Matt Gregory. This musical is a “prequel” (as in–what happened before) the classic tale of “Peter Pan.” There are plenty of parts for both boys and girls–and lots of fun, upbeat musical numbers.

“Broadway Bistro,” our 2nd camp, is also for kids entering grades 6–12. Camp will pix 1run July 21-26. Here kids get the opportunity to help write the scenes to accompany the Broadway songs we choose and put together our very own original show! We will choose songs from such famous Broadway shows as “Godspell,”  “Joseph,” and “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Campers will assist in every aspect of the performance from costumes, props, choreography, and staging. This will be a fun and exciting week for both the beginner and more seasoned performer. An ensemble approach to this camp will allow everyone involved to have a “starring role.” The week will end with a special Cabaret Performance in our “Downstairs Dinner Theatre”–complete with dinner and show on Saturday, July 26th at 7:00 PM.

“A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Ark” will be our 3rd camp and will give the kids entering grades 1–5 a chance to be the very first to perform an original musical written by Joy Weaver and Mark Sullivan (yes – St. Andrews Choir Directors are writing a musical). The Camp will run July 28–August 1.  This is the comical story of how Noah got all the animals on the Ark. This musical comedy will lift your spirits with it’s upbeat music and roll in the aisle laughter!
