Do you and your children like to sing?

St. Andrew's has a place for YOU in one of its choirs. The Spirit Choir sings music from jazz, gospel, folk and contemporary sources. The Chancel Choir sings music from the traditional heritage as well as occasionally tapping jazz, gospel, and folk literature, as well. Our youth choirs, including grades K-12, explore the gamut of musical styles from classical through gospel, jazz, contemporary, and ethnically diverse selections.

Chancel Choir Director Mark Sullivan also serves as our organist and pianist. Joy Weaver is Director of the Spirit Choir and produces the popular church musicals.

St. Andrew's is blessed to have a magnificent pipe organ installed in 1994. It was designed for St. Andrew's by Walden Moore and Timothy E. Smith and was built by the Southfield Organ Company of Longmeadow, Mass. The two-manual instrument contains nearly 1,000 pipes with eighteen divisions including an antiphonal division made possible by a generous bequest of W. Alan Nichols.

You will find a warm, friendly atmosphere awaits you at the choir rehearsals at St. Andrew's. Even if you do not know how to read music, we can teach you to become a music reader and important member of the group. If travel requirements for your job make it impossible for you to come to every rehearsal and service, you are still welcome. Come to a rehearsal and see if you feel comfortable in the setting. You will find much spiritual encouragement and just plain good fun in rehearsals.

We hope to see you in choir!
