Steven Domienik – Priest-in-Charge

The Rev. Steve Domienik holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Detroit in Communications, a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Cincinnati, a Certificate in Mission and Ecumenism from the Boston Theological Institute and a Masters of Divinity from the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge.

Steve recently served as Assistant to the Rector at the Church of the Good Shepherd (Athens, OH) and co-chaplain with the Christ Lutheran Church (ELCA) campus ministry program at Ohio University. Prior to this he served as deacon for St. Johnís in Jamaica Plain (MA) and assistant chaplain to the Episcopal/Lutheran campus ministry at MIT. While in Cincinnati Steve also served as a rector search consultant in the diocese of Southern Ohio, coordinator of a Young Adult Christian volunteer program, residential director of a homeless shelter, and as a mental health case manager.

Steve is a widower and his daughter Lynnea is a recent graduate from Smith College currently residing in Chicago. Steve will live in the Rectory and enjoys swimming, kayaking, hiking, singing and cooking.
 

Barbara Gibbons – Parish Administrator   [back to top]

Barbara joined the St. Andrew's staff as Parish Administrator in 1998 and loves her involvement with all the parishioners as well as overseeing the daily operations of the parish office.

Born and raised in Bucks County Pennsylvania, she is the mother of three--Laurie, Catie and Chris. Laurie resides in Madison with her husband, Tom. Catie is employed by Incremedical in Essex and Chris attends the University of Connecticut. Residing in Madison for over 25 years, Barbara and her children have been members of the St. Andrew's family for over 20 years. She enjoys cooking and relaxed walks along the shore with her two golden retrievers.
 

Lisa Preikszas – Director of Children's & Youth Ministry  [to top]

Lisa graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Social Work degree. Her undergraduate studies were obtained from West Chester University in social work and psychology. Lisa has been employed as a social worker in the medical field, assisting patients and their families as they faced various health challenges. She also worked at a retirement community helping residents transition to the next phase of life. After taking a number of years off raising her children, she is returning to the work force and joining the staff at St. Andrew's. Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and their Labrador retriever.
 

Paul Jordan – Organist, Chancel Choir Director, and Keyboard [to top]

Paul comes to St. Andrew's with much experience as a world class organist, giving over 100 organ concerts on four continents. He also is extremely proficient and gifted on the keyboard as well as an vocalist, conductor, recorder player, and harpsichord player.

Paul has a Master's Degree in Sacred Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts. He served as Director of Music for United Church on the Green, New Haven and at several Episcopal Churches. He retired as Professor of Music, State University of New York after 22 years. Paul has produced many recordings of his work.
 

David R. Mikus – Sexton/Verger   [back to top]

David Mikus has been the Sexton since 1987 and also serves as St. Andrew’s Verger. The Sexton is responsible for maintaining the “physical” church; the Verger leads the processions and assists during the service.

David works for the U.S. Forest Service at a forest research laboratory. He is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and has attended Middlesex Community College and Southern CT State University. He has a degree in Environmental Science. He lives in Clinton with his wife, Tina, and enjoys the outdoors, running, baseball, singing in the opera chorus and taking care of St. Andrew's.
 

Judy Goldberg– Preschool Director  [back to top]

Judy Goldberg graduated from the University of New Haven with a Master of Arts Degree in Community Psychology with a Clinical concentration. Her undergraduate work at Albertus Magnus College focused on young children. Judy has been an owner and director of a preschool and is an approved Connecticut Charts-a-Course trainer and Educational Consultant. She also is an approved Social Service Consultant and acts as a consultant to many child care programs in Connecticut. Judy has a private practice providing Educational Advocacy and Clinical Behavioral Supports to individuals, schools and the Department of Developmental Services.

In her spare time, she enjoys time with her family which includes two children, Joshua (12) and Allison (5) plus a dog, cats, turtle, bunny and fish. Hobbies are reading, crocheting and gardening.
 

Jim Olden – Guitarist   [back to top]

Jim Olden was born and raised in Bricktown, NJ, where he grew up playing guitar with the church and school choirs. He earned a Bachelor of Music Education from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College) and spent several years in the Trenton area as a working musician and teaching privately. In 1999, he moved to Connecticut to attend the Hartt School of Music and earned a Master of Music in classical guitar. Jim currently is the orchestra director of Orange Public Schools where he had the great fortune to make the acquaintance of June Hale. Recently married, Jim resides with his wife Marie in Milford under the strict supervision of their cats, Mia and Toby.
 

Joy Weaver – Director of Musicals   [back to top]

Joy is familiar to St. Andrew's audiences and children from her roles in leading our summer camps and musicals. In addition to her enthusiastic personality and talent for bringing out the best in kids, she has a deep and accomplished musical background, having worked professionally in many aspects of the theater. Joy loves the 9:15 a.m. service and the accompanying spirit-filled music. Her goal: getting everyone to participate in the many musical events presented each year
