The Great Vigil of Easter

We begin in darkness in the Garden of the Resurrection, where the new fire is kindled and the Paschal Candle is lit. By candlelight, we hear the story of God’s saving work throughout history, renew our baptismal promises, and celebrate the first Eucharist of Easter, proclaiming with joy the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
