At St. Andrew’s (and in all Episcopal churches), the vestry is a group of elected church members who help lead and care for the parish. They work closely with the priest to support both the spiritual and practical life of the church.
What Does the Vestry Do?
Helps make decisions about the church’s mission, ministries, and finances;
Supports the priest and staff;
Oversees the church property and budget;
Represents the voice of the congregation.
Vestry members are active parishioners elected by the congregation. The team includes wardens (senior lay leaders), a treasurer, a clerk, and several vestry members, all serving rotating terms.
